The goal of our race team is to use a race car as an educational tool to educate youth and the public about the dangers of drugs, alcohol, and impaired driving. In 2005, our race team became involved with RAD (Race Against Drugs). RAD provides us educational materials that we use at our booths. When youth visit our booth or race team, they can sign the RAD Drug Free Pledge and receive a Stay on Track activity book as well as other educational materials provided by MADD and the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety. In 2006, the car has been a Gateway Mall in LIncoln Anderson Ford, Midwest Drivers Autograph Day and SuperSaver. The car is scheduled to appear at the Kidz Explore event in Kearney, Nebraska, with many more appearances to be scheduled. Sponsors—Subway, McDonalds and Brenda Henning, as well as Cooper Racing—provide coupons, key chains and Ford Racing Posters that kids can win at our spinning wheel. Delmar Friesen, owner of Junction Motor Speedway, has also provided us with race tickets that visitors at our booth may register to win. If you have an interest in having Cooper Racing provide a Race Against Drugs message for your group, contact us for details. |
